Who doesn’t love a big beautiful farm table with an abundance of floral?! I know I do! If you love that look but it’s not realistic or in the budget for every table at your reception, I have a great option for you!
Keep your guest tables simple- utilize the tables, chairs, and even linens your venue or caterer provides, and make your head/king’s/sweetheart table the star of the show! A farm table, special chairs or satee, fancy chargers, extra floral, a beautiful linen-things you’ve been pinning to your “dream wedding” board again and again! Since you’ll be sitting there it’ll be photographed the most, and you can have that beautiful Pinterest wedding you’ve always wanted without breaking the bank.
Just make sure to keep things cohesive with the guest tables. Use centerpieces with some of the same florals or greenery, linen colors that complement or match, and make sure there is a similar style and feel for the guest tables. If your dream head table has a lot of rustic elements, you don’t want your guest tables to all be sleek and polished (can you imagine farmhouse chairs and chiavari chairs at different tables? You want to avoid a bizarre combination like that!) Take the style you love and showcase it in that main table: let it be the fulfillment of your vision. Then keep that same style and use elements from that star table, just toned down, and what you have available to you to make budget friendly (but still beautiful) guest tables.
The end result is a simple and stunning wedding, allowing your head/king’s/sweetheart table to really shine. You get to enjoy that beautiful table you wanted, see the beautiful photos of it for years to come, and the perfect wedding in your budget! Which is a recipe for a true dream wedding.
