I feel like there are a bunch of wedding traditions, or formalities that couples incorporate into their weddings year after year. but i’m here to tell you don’t have to do them just because your friend did them at their wedding. Lets have the wedding YOU WANT!
boutonnières– skip the boutonnieres and spend that money on something else with your florist ( an extra floral arrangement?! I think so!) . I dont think they are necessary. Let the suits have their moment
bridal parties– I know, I know! No bridal party?! just think how lovely, and less chaotic your day will be be without a crowd with you all day. Do you like the idea of getting ready with your girls all day? perfect- still do it! they just dont have to spend $200 on a dresss they will never wear again. Does it sound amazing to have a relaxing morning without all your friends and family? even more of a reason to have no bridesmaids. whatever you decide to do, just remember you have options!
Bouquet + Garter Toss– this is a tradition i’ve been over for awhile honestly. it’s kind of a dated formality, and with couples getting married later in life, there’s sometimes not many single people in attendance. If I never have to see a garter removal again, i’ll be happy
if you did/are doing these things at your wedding PLEASE dont get offended. this is just my opinion 🙂
